About Gardenplanner

Gardenplanner is a free companion for US home gardeners. Its promise is simple: know what your garden needs next.

You tell us your ZIP code and what you're growing. We watch recent weather from a nearby station, the forecast, and typical conditions for your area, and suggest a few useful tasks each week, in the app and in one weekly email. Weather alerts are rare, and only when frost or heat is forecast for plants you're growing.

Every suggestion shows why it appeared: what we checked, when, and from which source, and what we can't know from here. Our research notes explain where the guidance comes from and how it is checked.

What we won't do

• No ads, and no sponsored products in tasks or alerts.
• No third-party trackers, and we don't sell your data.
• No streaks, scores, or guilt. "Doesn't apply" is always a valid answer.
